Know All The Options to Sell Your Home. Find out what your home is really worth. Personalized Home Value Estimate

Are you looking to sell your home right now? While we’re still in a strong seller’s market, there is a widening gap between homes ready for the market and those that aren’t. If you want your home to be a winner on the market, you need to make your home as ready and attractive to buyers as possible. It’s proven that the more showings you have, the more likely you are to sell faster and net a higher price. That’s why today, I’m sharing three hacks to get your home in show-ready condition and make more money:

1. Take care of minor repairs upfront. Right now, buyers’ number one concern is high interest rates and affordability. As a result, they want to put as much money down as they possibly can to lower their monthly payments. If a seller takes care of minor repairs upfront, inspection reports are cleaner, there’s less for the buyer to do right away so they are usually willing to pay a little more. Taking care of inexpensive repairs upfront is a good idea in every market, but with today’s interest rates this step is more important than ever.

“Buyers will pay more for homes in good condition.”

2. A little staging makes a big difference. Think about a model home: It’s clean, standardized, and somewhat impersonal. Your goal should be to get as close to that image as possible. Everyone’s home has personal touches here and there, like inherited furniture, family photos, or maybe even a wild colored accent wall. Why not? We get to live however we want to, but when you are selling, it’s a different ballgame. The more buyers that are attracted to your home the more opportunity you have of receiving multiple offers. By staging and depersonalizing a little, prospective buyers can picture themselves and their own things in your property. Plus, you have to pack it anyway, why not get a head start? Win/win.

3. Have a plan for children and pets. The last thing you want is for a buyer to be distracted and not appreciate your efforts in preparing our home for their showing. It can be a little tricky, but it’s important that buyers have an uninterrupted showing. Your agent can create a reasonable notice before showings to allow you time to pack everyone up and take them with you. Creating the best showing experience for the buyer gives you the best chance at an offer.
